About Andrea

Me & My work

Nice to meet you,
I am Andrea :)

Hey there! I’m a product designer with a background in UX Research and Cognitive Psychology. With 4 years of design experience, I’ve designed and helped ship 30+ web and mobile experiences across AI, SaaS, B2B enterprise, wellness, productivity, and content creation

My design philosophy is shaped by the Shaker Design Philosophy: "Don't make something unless it is both necessary and useful; but if it is both necessary and useful, don't hesitate to make it beautiful.✨"

My whys?

My whys?

Growing up in a medical family, I developed a deep curiosity to make sense of things, and a strong desire to help whenever I could. In college, I studied cognitive science & psychology to better understand how the brain works. During COVID, I trained as a peer therapist, applying my knowledge and analytical skills to help people untangle their emotions. It was incredibly meaningful, but I began to wonder: how could I reach more than just one person at a time?

In 2021, I started working as a UX researcher at one of the leading short-video technology companies in China, where I worked improving creator tools that shaped the experiences of our 400 million users! 🤯

With sharpened research skills in hand, I then transitioned into product design—where I could drive even more tangible impact. Since then, I’ve felt like I found my place in the world —at the perfect intersection of psychology, technology, and design. It’s a space where I get to help people every day, but at a scale I never imagined possible.

Design is like therapy

Design is like therapy

For me, a great design process is a LOT like a productive therapy session. I was a therapist once —so hear me out! It's about identifying the most pressing problems and working toward a solution that helps people move closer to their goals, one step at a time. Progress isn’t always linear—sometimes, we move backward and face unexpected failures. But as long as we keep experimenting, testing, and learning, we WILL uncover the actions that truly move the needle.❤️
